The 2019/20 Uganda Premier League (UPL) fixtures have been released.
The opening match will be played on August, 29 at Mandela National Stadium Namboole. Newcomers Kyetume FC will take on SC. Villa at Namboole at 8:00 pm.
The 2018/19 league winners KCCA FC will start their title defence at home to newly promoted Wakiso Giants on Saturday, September 1st.
At the ceremony held at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, Bernard Bainamani the UPL Chairperson noted that they always have challenges with club licensing and hence a delay in releasing fixtures.
“We always have licensing issues which delay the fixtures, noted Bainamani.
“Our desire is to have the fixtures ready as soon as possible but it is not in our hands as FUFA has to first grant licenses to all clubs.
“In the end, we are forced to release the fixtures late.”
