6 people are confirmed dead and several others critically injured following an accident along Tirinyi-Mbale Road in Namutumba district on Sunday evening.
According to eye witnesses, the accident occurred when a speedy taxi moving from Mbale to Kampala, failed to negotiate how to over take and rammed into a YY Bus registration number UAX 852F which was heading to Mbale.
YY Bus company confirmed that none of the passengers in the bus got injured but they were only traumatised.
The accident is said to have happened between 5-6pm on Sunday.
By the time of filing this report, Namutumba traffic police had not given an update on the actual number of casualties.
