MP Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has returned the money that was wired on his account on October 24th, as funds for age-limit consultations.
In a long statement that he titled “my stand on age-limit money,” dated October 27th, 2017, Kyagulanyi declared he had bounced back the 29m.
Kyadondo East MP stated that different people urged him to use the money to develop his constituency but the youthly legislator said it was against the constitution to divert the tax payer’s money.

Bobi Wine says it was unnnecessary to waste over 13billion Ugs on the 449 Mps over something that Ugandans have vehemently rejected. He said this money would have been used to cater for the most immediate demands like medicine in hospitals and paying off the striking civil servants.
“According to the official communication, this money was given to the members of parliament to consult about the unfortunate proposal to ammend article 102b of the constitution of Uganda,” explained Bobi.
The Afro-beat singer added that this is pure “bribery” and that he would not fall for their tricks.
“For these reasons, I state that the 29 million shillings is a bribe,” emphasised Kyagulanyi.
He said he had ordered the bank to bounce back the money to wherever it came from.
Kyagulanyi of recent been involved in article confrontations with president Museveni and he is one of the proprietors of ‘togikwatako’ campaign.
