The former Blu*3 singer Jackie Chandiru has on Friday collapsed while preparing to deliver a keynote speech to students of Makerere University Business School (Mubs) in Nakawa.
Chandiru was invited to Mubs as a guest speaker to address students about the dangers of drug abuse.
The songstress however had a hard time midway the session as she had a seizure and collapsed before addressing the students.
She was rushed away and given treatment and she showed real strength when she managed to complete the session later on.
The singer who has a dark history with drugs that ended her career for years had just returned from rehab and trying to make ends meet while reviving her music career.
In her efforts to ensure that the youths of this nation do not go down the same drug abuse road that she did, Jackie Chandiru has been touring the country as she sensitizes people on the effects of drug abuse.
In an interview on KFM on January 7, Chandiru told the public that her troubles stemmed from the abuse of a prescription painkiller Pethidine, which was used to treat a back problem.
Later on PressBox, a sports programme on NTV, Chandiru talked about her struggle, how she has been able to get off the addiction and how she is using her experience to educate others.
