Celebrated emcee, TV personality and music promoter Edwin Katamba alias Mc Kats is not among the people who are ready to support Mr Paul Mutabazi aka Fresh Daddy’s music career.
On Thursday evening at Wave lounge in Kololo, Kats blocked the dj from playing Fresh Daddy’s song saying its an insult to the music industry.
Kalifa Aganaga who has taken the god father role in Fresh Daddy’s overnight music career decided to step on stage and ordered the deejay to play his singer’s new song.
However, MC Kats, out of the blue, grabbed the mic and rubbished Fresh Daddy’s attempt at music as comedy.
“We are busy trying to fight for the copyright law in Parliament and you guys are here messing with the music industry,” Mc Kats said.
He also told off Khalifah Aganaga saying if he wants to fight with them then he should also go ahead because they don’t lose anything by deleting all his music.
However, a section of fans and music lovers are not impressed with Kats’ actions.
From all social media platforms’ corners, Kats has been insulted and branded with all sorts of funny names for blocking what they say Fresh Daddy’s talent hunt.
“Fresh Daddy has decided to stay away from Fresh Kid because he wants to make his own money and stop depending on the kid as his source of income, if that’s the only way he sees money, let the man sing and get the money. Let him fail and disappear like any other failed artiste in the industry than blocking him intentionally from his talent search. Kats should know that he is not the one who started music in Uganda and by the way Fresh Daddy is more popular than your own artsites under your so called Kats Music,” one angry fan said in a Facebook post.

But who assigned mc Kat’s to stop net musicians and to what level does he know music? One man’s meat may be another mans meat, if he hates the man, he has ear protectors he should have moved out or blocked his ears not to hear his music
