Uganda premier League side Tooro United FC have been given a green light to host their home games at the preferred grounds of St. Paul’s Seminary in Fort portal.
It should be noted that Tooro United FC shifted to Buhinga stadium at the start of last season, but failed to meet the basic FUFA Club licensing requirements this season and thus had to find an alternative home venue.
They had proposed St. Paul’s Seminary grounds but still was deemed unfit to host games lacking sanitary facilities.
The club has been hosting games at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku as work to put final touches on the seminary grounds have been going on.
On Tuesday, FUFA confirmed that after thorough inspection, the venue is now ready to host games.
“As officially requested by Tooro United FC, the club licensing committee respected St Paul Seminary to assess whether it meets the minimum requirements to host UPL games,” reads the by this website from FUFA.
“The missing requirement (dressing room) have been temporarily put in order as per the recommendations after the first inspection.
“In line with the above, Tooro United can host their home games at the ground with effect from 1st October 2019.”
The first game for Tooro United FC at their new home grounds will be against Kyetume FC on 5th October 5 2019.
