Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed a new long-term contract with Chelsea, Sky Sports News reports.

The England winger’s previous deal was scheduled to expire at the end of the season and he was widely linked with a move to Germany with Bayern Munich over the summer.

Hudson-Odoi spent the summer rehabilitating after rupturing his Achilles in April but recently returned to the pitch when he played for Chelsea’s U23 side against Brighton.

According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea will make Hudson-Odoi’s new contract official within the next 24 hours.

The 18-year-old has been associated with Chelsea since the age of seven and made his Premier League debut during the 2017-18 season.

His form for Chelsea last season was enough to secure a senior England debut in March.

Although he was linked with Bayern, Hudson-Odoi said last month that he saw his future at Chelsea during an interview talking about a picture of him – aged 13 as a ballboy – celebrating a goal scored by Samuel Eto’o.

He said: “You dream of being a professional as a kid, especially at the club I’ve now been at for so long. You think, “Can I become like him or at least get to the top where he is?” and I’m now fulfilling that dream.

“It’s the boyhood club I’ve always loved and played for, so I’ve always felt that that dream is there. Now I just want to carry on and keep going.”
