Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP), Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known by his stage name – Bobi Wine has on Sunday September 22, commended fellow singer Ronald Mayinja for opening up to President Museveni during Catherine Kusasira’s concert.

During the event, in his song ”Bizzeemu” Mayinja openly highlighted to Mr Museveni who was the guest of honour, the increasing insecurity, alleged nepotism, corruption in the country that he says are rampant.

The singer also accused government of taking a back sit on many of the issues affecting the people including youths unemployment and failure to provide social services on top charging exorbitant taxes on every item.

Now, the People Power leader Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has lauded his fellow singer and political aspirant Ronald Mayinja for what he termed as “call out the dictator in his face.”

“In a time when so many people have chosen to remain silent in the face of so much injustice; in a time when many artistes have chosen to play it safe; in a time when many Ugandans are putting their careers, safety and comfort ahead of their nation’s redemption, we must celebrate those who have chosen courage over fear; good over evil!” Bobi Wine wrote.

“When some of my colleague artistes used a music concert as an opportunity to massage the dictator and make personal requests for assistance, Ronald Mayinja used the opportunity to call out the dictator in his face. Thank you brother for being courageous and selfless. Just continue on this path- history will be kind to you!”

He also blasted those who cut Mayinja’s performance short calling them cowards. “Even if those intolerant cowards cut your performance short because they could not stand the truth, the message was delivered loud and clear. I salute you Sir!”
