The crew in charge of the two new aircraft arriving in Uganda later today include captains Emmanuel Mutebi, Charles Karabarinde and Stephen Ariong.
With the new aircraft, the airline will expand its route network to cover more destinations in Southern and Central Africa, having launched to Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Mogadishu, Bujumbura, Juba and others.
The first batch of aircraft was named after the Uganda Kob.
This website has however learnt that the new aircraft have been named 5X KNP to mean Kabalega National Park and 5X KDP for Kidepo National Park.
The move according to sources within the airline is aimed at promoting tourism in the country by using names of the tourist attractions as a move to lure tourists.
Transport Minister Eng. Monica Azuba recently revealed in a tweet that Uganda also expects two Airbus planes in 2020 to beef up the fleet.
