Eddy Kenzo real names Idris Musuuza has won the Best African Entertainer award at the 5th edition of African Entertainment Awards USA 2019 (AEUSA).
This proves that he is undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians on the African continent.
The red carpet ceremony took place in New Jersey, USA at on Saturday Night (Sunday morning Ugandan Times).
The AEAUSA awards have honored Africans’ excellence since 2015. They are held annually in New Jersey, with over 30 awards presented during the two-day event in honor of entertainers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
The 2019 nominations list was released over two months ago and eight Ugandans were nominated including Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana, Chameleone, Sheebah, Cindy, Rema, Beenie Gunter, and Fabiola.
The awards ceremony that was held on the night of Saturday 19th October saw the Big Talent Entertainment CEO walk away with the ‘Best Entertainer of the Year’ award.
In the same category was Flavour, Diamond Platnumz, Davido, Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Yemi Alade, Stonebwoy, Tiwa Savage, and Tekno. Congratulations Eddy, keep waving the Ugandan flag.
