It’s agreeable that the majority of the guests dressed smartly and appropriately for artiste Rema Namakula and Hamza Sebunya’s traditional marriage that took place on Thursday at Nabbingo in Wakiso district.
However, some celebrities’ appearances disappointed. They broke the rules of the dress code – Busuti for women and Kanzu for men. Some women totally failed to rock the Busuti; their sashes were on the verge of falling off their bodies.
John Blaq, real name John Kasadha, was named the Worst Dressed Person at the event which had thousands of guests. He appeared donning a dull striped shirt, damaged jeans, and chains hanging around his neck.
However, the fresh musician has come out to explain his dress code that day stating that he had just returned from a show upcountry and the ceremony had already started so it was impossible for him to first go home and change.
John Blaq said in an interview on UBC’s Horizon Vibe show on Saturday adding that he was very eager to attend Rema’s introduction but the traffic jam also on that day prohibited him from rushing back home and then embark on the same long journey to the venue.

It is reported that the ‘Byalagilwa’ singer was even stopped from performing because of his dress code despite being listed as part of the few singers who were expected to perform at the ceremony.
“I failed to get time to wear my Kanzu which I had bought specially for Rema’s ceremony. So I bought a shirt that I could afford and I thought I was really smart but public though otherwise,” he said.
