Drama ensured on on Friday afternoon as Police arrested People Power top mobiliser and Rubaga Division Lord Councilor 2021 hopeful Jackline Nakajubi who had gone to attend a poverty alleviation function organized by People Power pressure group members in Busega, Kibumbiro in Lubaga division.
This website has learnt that she had gone with other People Power members to attend the launch of a People Power funded project for women engaging in catering services, who were launching their cooperative called Busega Catering Services Cooperative Society.
However, she and others who were donning People Power colours were blocked at the entrance of the venue by cops from Busega-Kibumbiro police, arrested and taken to Busega police post from where they were later released in the evening without any charges being pressed against them.
Its alleged that ever since Nakajubi declared to contest as Rubaga Division Lord Councilor on People Power ticket come 2021, she has not had peace in addressing her supporters since police quickly rushes in to block her political activities.
