Renowned Comedian Amooti Mubalanguzi has made a hilarious proposals that will crack ribs than be implemented, regarding condolence fees collected when artistes die. Amooti who was speaking out days after the burial of fellow Comedian King Kong said there is a high rate of disappearance of condolence fees, which make it necessary to have a commission of inquiry.
“When Paddy Bitama died, all the money we collected vanished in thin air. I have tried to look for the Mabugo (condolence fees) of King Kong, I cannot even see a coin. This needs Bamugeirere to come and look into these matters,” a hilarious but serious looking Amooti told this newspaper.
On another note, Amooti took time to bash musicians for being segregative and not attending comedians funerals.
“Batusosola nnyo bano abayimbi. They only go to burials where the cameras are looking at them. Their attendance is for show biz. I was surprised that they did not come for King Kong’s burial” Amooti further lamented.
He said the same happened when his long time friend Paddy Bitama died.
