Endless battles with his former boss Weasel has forced Singer Geoffrey Kyagambiddwa, also known as Chagga to resume his singing career. The battles recently led to Chagga being jailed by a promoter for money taken for a Radio and Weasel concert before Moze Radio died.
Chagga was seen on stage at Roast and Rhymes concert at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo yesterday. He sang some of his golden hits such as ‘Jangu eno Mama.’
To the surprise of the crowd, Chagga was heavily cheered by Jose Chameleone, who he used to work with in Leone Island, in the early 2000s. This certainly will not go down well with Weasel.
The beef between Chagga and Weasel came from Chagga’s insistence that Weasel leaves Bryan White Foundation. Before Weasel joined Bryan White, Chagga was his and the late Moze Radio’s manager.
“I am a veteran and a legend. I am here to begin from where I stopped. These young boys who I tried to help disrespected me, so let me show who is who,” is what Chagga told this reporter when asked if this was a one off.
Social critic Eddie Sendi was one of those who were visibly thrilled by Chagga’s performance. He posted on his social media page: “Chagga brings the house down at Roast & Rhyme Jahazi Pier a few minutes ago @ Kampala, Uganda”
