As the whole of Uganda begins to prepare for life after Pastor Bugingo, sources within the church have attributed his fall to hobnobbing with bad company. Although he has been understood as a very good man, his gradual fall from grace has been the handiwork of people who can best be described as self-seekers.
“Pastor Bugingo did not stick to his elders, who he had been with from the beginning.Instead when he became famouse, he started hanging around people who are interested in other things. They are not spiritually grounded and they are in wars,” A Church member at House of Prayer Ministries told this newspaper.
When asked to identify those bad people, the Church member hesitated, but went on to list people like Pastor Kayizi, Susan Makula Nantaba, a one William Tumwine, and another called Denis Mukulu. It is not yet known how this group helped to bring down Bugingo, but the Church member insists that when the renowned pastor started being around these people, the writing was on the wall that he was finished.
There is a one William Tumwiine who was proposed for bestman in the new marriage, who failed in his first marriage and married another in a scandalous way. He lost his job as Town Ckerk at Former Kla City Council and was penniless for a long time till he started praying with Bujjingo who helped him later to get another govt job. He is also the broker for most of his properties and it is rumoured he made so much money when he brokered the deal for HPM to acquire Canan from the Batalingaya family.
Kayizi is riding on his age to get onto the emisingi programme and get handouts from Bujjingo too He has also gotten a car from the alliance.
Denis Mukulu who also sits on th emisingi programme every day Mon-Fri is what we can call runaway groom. He stooped his marriage on a fri when the wedding was sat.
Church people had contributed a lot to the kwanjula and wedding, only to be told while preparing for church that the wedding was no more! For his alliance, he has gotten a house and a car from Pastor Bujjingo.
Those are the people closest to Pastor Bujjingo and ruining his church for personal Gain.
Since he came out to attack his wife, most of the church members have not stood by his side. Pastor Mutaawe even came out to say he did not subscribe to what he (Bugingo) was doing in spite of speaking in parables.
Without elders, a pastor cannot stand.
