For years, Singer Bebe Cool has supported President Yoweri Museveni, often against the wishes of his father, Veteran politician Jaberi Bidandi Ssali. Bidandi who was a confidant of Museveni for many years, fell out with the president over the future of the country. His son however did not stop supporting the president.
Bidandi Ssali has now come out to express his position on the matter. Speaking to the press, he voiced his no objection to Bebe Cool’s support for Museveni.
“I do not have any problem with my son supporting President Museveni. Everyone of us has his own political choice, and that is a fact. Remember President Museveni was even my good friend before, although we are no longer in touch,” Bidandi said.
Bidandi Ssali served as Local Government Minister in Museveni’s government, for a very long time, before he was dropped from cabinet.
