Bloven Cakes has slowly but steadily established itself as the leading bakers of cakes in Kampala Uganda. They make cakes for all kinds of functions and their service has never been disputed by clients who have experienced what they have to offer.
Today we visited their outlet at Mabirizi complex and spoke to the management who told us a lot about what they do.
Monday Times: Good afternoon Sir. It is a good experience getting to see everything that you do. For those who might be hearing about you for the first time, what can we say Bloven Cakes really does?
Management of Bloven Cakes: Bloven Cakes makes cakes for every occasion one can think of. We have done cakes for weddings, introduction ceremonies, okuhingira, birthday parties, graduation parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and office parties. We think that if anyone is interested in making good quality cakes, they can contact us and we do for them to their best satisfaction.
We have cake rotators, champagne glasses, party poppers, champagnes, and even ushers.
Monday Times: This is impressive. But we know that there are different people who make cakes around. How different can you say you are from those who make cakes in Kampala?
Management of Bloven Cakes: Well, our cakes have a better taste than any you could have tasted around. We also pay great attention to detail and can do any design of a cake that a client might want us to do. We are very experienced and we deliver on time. You know where functions are concerned, you need to do things with deadlines in mind.
On Thursdays we have free cake tasting.
Monday Times: Okay. So what are your working hours and days?
Management of Bloven Cakes: We work from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday. However if we have a function and we are wanted to oversee the matters of the cake, we are there beyond these hours.
Monday Times: Great to know this. We were about to ask you if you do delivery, or clients must come to pick their cake.
Management of Bloven Cakes: Yes of course, we do delivery. In fact most of our orders are delivery. We take cakes to where the clients are because it is convenient for most people who do not want to move a very long distance away. As long as we have the specifications we are able to deliver just what the client needs.
Monday Times: How are your prices like for those wonderful cakes?
Management of Bloven Cakes: It depends on which cake you need but we are very affordable. Usually the cake you make determines how much you spend. If you want for example a cake with many tiers, it could be more expensive than a cake with one tier.
Monday Times: Okay. So how is the order of a cake done?
Management of Bloven Cakes: We tend to take a deposit as a sign of commitment before we start baking your cake. Of course there are existing cakes which people can buy on the spot. But if they want to instead order, the deposit begins the process. When we are through, you pay the difference.
Monday Times: Interesting. So how long can your cakes last for if they are not eaten?
Management of Bloven Cakes: Without special preservatives they could take a week. But if you want them to last for even a month or more, we can use special preservatives to make that happen.
