While appearing on BMTV Africa (Luganda version), Rubaga North MP Kato Lubwama said his Kyadondo East counterpart Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has been pumped and inflated but he isn’t such a great man as portrayed.
The legislator added that although he likes Bobi Wine, hopes of him taking the country’s top job are too slim.
“Bobi wine is just lucky. His rise is bolstered by people who hate the current regime. People think he can remove president Museveni but I don’t see that coming and if he doesn’t, Ugandans will desert from him and jump onto another person,” Lubwama noted, adding that Bobi Wine cannot topple a military government.
“It is extremely hard for him but I wish him luck and I encourage him to keep up with the fighting spirit,” he added.
Asked what he thought of a “Bobi Wine project”, Lubwama retorted: “What project? Don’t make him something more than he is. He has a favour and people like him.”
“He found people who are tired of this government. That’s why he has some popularity. Now imagine what happens when Bobi Wine fails to remove Museveni from power…that will be the end of him,” he said.
It should be noted that Lubwama beat an events promoter Andrew Mukasa Bajjo on live television for saying he couldn’t defend Bobi Wine in the house because he doesn’t know English.
