The Young Politicians and Leaders Network (YPLN) has nominated the Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine as ‘Male Politician of the Year’.

The Young Politicians and Leaders Network (YPLN) is a global movement of young change agents dedicated to training its cohort to take up leadership roles to influence the future of Africa and the world in general.

As a means of creating a cross-country idea-sharing and networking opportunity, a maiden two-day continental summit will be hosted in Accra, Ghana on November 2019 where participants would converge to discuss and formulate solutions to some of Africa’s pressing and emerging problems.

This year’s theme is “Securing the future of Africa: The Role of the African Youth, Young Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs,”

In the same category with Bobi Wine is Faozey Nurudeen (Nigeria), Julius Karl D. Fieve (Ghana), Lengai Ole Sabaya (Tanzania), Yongama Ludwe Zigebe (South Africa) and Nwosu Franklyn Chiedozie (Nigeria).

“The Summit, the first-ever largest continental youth gathering in Ghana will mobilize a diversity of delegates and policy makers from all African countries comprising government officials, members of the diplomatic corp, international agency representatives, entrepreneurs, emerging youth and student leaders to collate ideas from the continent’s finest figures to aggregate them into relevant themes able to shape policy on the continent,” reads an excerpt from the YALS website.
