Bright Star draw 0-0 with Express Fc in Azam Premier League match played  at Wakulukuku Stadium on Tuesday where gun shots were fired.

The exciting duel witnessed the home side dominate play right from the opening half with difficulty in scoring.

Express’s Juma Ssebadduka had a shot hit with the woodwork in the opening seven minutes with veteran Bright Stars’ goalkeeper Hamza Muwonge beaten.

The Bright Stars’ Hakim Ssekitto delivered at cross midway the first half but Farouk Banga arrived late at the far post.

The host lead striker Daniel Sserunkuma had a chance at the death of the first half but the former Gor Mahia and Bandari forward shot off his weaker left foot.

The attempt at goal left goalie Muwonge crawling on the dried up Wankulukuku grass as the ball sailed out of play for the last piece of action in the first half.

As the second half kick started, the visitor’s technical team called for the first change of the game. Ssekitto paved way for Seif Batte.

Goalkeeper Muwonge was quicker off the line to thwart a Sserunkuma cut back from the right five minutes into the second half.

John Kokas Opejo came on for midfielder Methodius Jungu, ten minutes into the half.

On the hour mark, Bright Stars’ goalie Muwonge foiled Express’ move, getting injured in the process after a collision with striker Sserunkuma.

With 20 minutes left on the clock, the home team side called for their final amendments.

The host cannot even buy victory after failing to win in their last three matches.

Coach Douglas Bamweyana’s side had the lion’s share of ball against Bright Stars but couldn’t make anything out of it.

The results move Express one place up to 12th on eight points with as many points.

Coach Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars also moved one up to seventh with 11 points.
