Congregation at Bugingo Church

As the scandal around Pastor Bugingo continues to shock the general public, members of the church have become worried that the numbers are falling at a rate that they never expected. This reporter, who visited the church found most of the back seats empty although on his media, his cameramen focus on bringing forward the front seats. The number of cars have also greatly reduced, creating panic among the overseers of the church.

“We are worried that even church collections have gone down. Can you imagine from 40 million per week, we are now collecting 17 million shillings? We cannot be sure of what the future holds,” a Church insider told this newspaper.

Pastor Bugingo had tried to justify this drop by telling his congregation that back to school had affected collection. He claims that after children go back to school, the amount raised shall be higher than before.

A look at the car park of Canaan Land shows that numbers have really dropped.

Nantaba Canteen closed

In a related development, to save face, the small canteen that had been set up by Pastor Bugingo for new catch Susan Makula Nantaba has been closed. Sources say that the canteen had become a source of disgrace for both Makula and Bugingo.

“We no longer see it open. We wonder what happened to it, but it is a good thing that it was closed. It was a shame for the church,” another Church insider told this writer.
