Police in Masaka are investigating circumstances where a 33- year- old man was found dead in his room at Kayondo Plaza in Masaka town on Saturday.
Masaka town residents in shock as the 33-year-old Kampala businessman identified as Mujuni Adriane committed suicide inside an apartment room at Kayondo Plaza in Masaka Town on Saturday.
The deceased identified as Mujuni Adriane was found hanging inside Kayondo Plaza apartment room.
According to the eye witnesses, the deceased was staying with his lover, but the two lovebirds got misunderstandings which forced the woman to abandon him 2 weeks back.
The two have been fighting almost on a daily basis which forced the woman to flee their rented house, according to his neighbors.
Police community liaison officer Southern region, Mr Sunday Vincent said one of Adriane’s neighbours reported to police saying they had spent several days without seeing him and his room was locked.
“One of the neighbours came to us after realizing that the deceased’s room was locked from inside and they had not seen him for a couple of days. They tried to knock at the door but there was no response,” He said, adding “We moved in and broke into the room only to find the body hanging in with an extension wire cable tied around his neck.”
He said preliminary investigations have revealed that before the fateful event, the deceased telephoned his mother and told her that he was going to commit suicide.
