Frank Gashumba of Sisimuka Uganda is still thought to be in detention at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) in Mbuya, Kampala over impersonation and obtaining money by false pretence.
CMI arrested Gashumba on Monday night of October 30th after making a thorough search on his home in Bunga.
Brigadier Richard Karemire the army spokesperson confirmed the apprehension saying, “It’s correct, Gashumba impersonated a Ministry of Defence official and obtained money.”
The army spokesperson added that he will be interrogated before any further action can be taken against him.
Sheila Gashumba the daughter to the detainee says that there is army deployment at their home.
“Their over 10 army people holding guns in the compound,” said Sheila.
The controversial businessman and political activist has been accused several times of being a con man.
He heads ‘Sisimuka Uganda’ which he says aims at “Changing Mindsets” and “Creating Self Belief.”
