It has been confirmed that the three big Jamaican stars are coming to Uganda this September for a world Reggae tour in Kampala.

This tour, dubbed ‘The Long Walk to Freedom’, will be staged at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The three heavyweight reggae stars include the recently released from prison, Buju Banton, Morgan Heritage who were in the country two years ago and Beenie Man who last came here years ago.

These stars are going to perform alongside Ugandan top artists like Gagamel boss Bebe Cool and Legendary Jose Chameleon.

Both Chameleone and Bebe Cool have often mentioned Buju as one of the top acts that inspired them to start their music careers at a young age.

After serving a seven- year jail sentence, Buju returned on stage in a mega concert in Kingston, Jamaica National Stadium. And being a reggae sweet heart, he has embarked on doing the reggae tour for his fans across the world.

Last Friday, the veteran artiste outted his first track since he regained freedom titled ‘Country For Sale’ and is already looking forward to the release of an album within the next three months.

As for Morgan Heritage, the band was in the country in April 2017 courtesy of Bell Lager.

Beenie Man has on the other hand been a household name in Uganda and artistes such as Radio and Weasel, Beenie Gunter among others have managed to secure collabos with him. Also his songs like Gal dem Sugar, Better than them, Dance Hall Queen have greatly been appreciated in Uganda.
