COVID-19: Mulago nurse tests positive

The Ministry of Health on Thursday confirmed 15 new cases of coronavirus pushing Uganda’s infections to 522.

The Ministry also confirmed that among the 15 cases, one is a nurse working with Mulago National Specialised Hospital.

This, according to the Ministry, brings the total number of frontline health workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 to eight in Uganda.

Last week, seven frontline health workers tested positive for COVID-19

The list now includes 4 nurses, 2 doctors and 2 senior level staff all tested positive.

Additionally, 33 foreign truck drivers who also tested positive were denied entry into Uganda.

The total number of recoveries currently stands at 82. No fatalities have been reported yet.
