At the heart of Wandegeya Kampala Uganda lies a magnificent shop dealing in high quality African designs and garments. The shop is well known and has served its customers diligently for over a year. In our visit to the shop we met with Madam Lavinia the owner and her team of dedicated staff. We found out that their garments are exceptional creatively designed and great to own or to hire.
Monday Times: Tell us a bit about your work. What does Culture World do?
Ms Lavinia: Thank you for that question. We deal in garments and items used in various functions such as traditional marriage functions and many more. We have Busuti and Mshanana for both hire and sale. We also have Milk Pots, Bushera, Jewelry and so much more. While we have a lot of traditional wear for women and girls from Western Uganda we have some Gomesis as well and can hire or sell Kanzu’s on order. Apart from this we dress celebrities in African wear and also organize fashion events. One of our esteemed clients is Emily of Radio West who is also a musician. Recently we have dressed some Miss Tourism contestants and we plan to hold some major fashion events in the New Year.
Monday Times: This is superb. Now are you any different from other design houses around?
Ms Lavinia: Yes we are very different. Our designed are customized to client needs. We want to have only unique pieces so that when you wear them you really stand out. Remember we were entrusted to dress Miss Tourism contestants in Western Uganda. We would not have been considered if we were not good. We are also conveniently located by the road side so it is not difficult to reach us.
Our customer care is great.
