It seems like Rema’s highly anticipated `Kwanjula’ ceremony with new loaded boyfriend Hamza Sebunya is in serious balance.
This comes in after Rema’s ex-bonkmate Kenzo reportedly hired services of top city lawyers to task the the Allied Health Professional Council a body which regulates all health processionals in the country to investigate the manner in which one of their members Dr Hamza Sebunya got romantically involved with his client at the time Rema Namakula.
It should be noted the Ugandan laws governing doctors and other medics prohibits them from indulging in sexual activities with their patients and if found guilty, the culprit faces heavy legal consequences, including revocation of his license.
Kenzo, through his lawyers of Nalukoola, Kakeeto Advocates & Solicitors, acting on request from his agent Sharif Sentongo Nambaale has thus written to the AHPC, seeking an investigation into the conduct of Dr. Sebunya with his ‘patient’ Rema, prior to snatching her from Kenzo’s and home and whether it is professionally and ethically right for a doctor to marry his patient, whom he well-knew was officially another man’s woman.
The letter from Kenzo’s letter partly reads thus; “…Upon kind instruction of our client, we do hereby invite thy disciplinary committee to invoke its powers under Section 38 (1) (2) and (4) of the Allied Health Professional Act Cap. 28 of the laws of Uganda. Our client is available in case you need him for purposes of illuminations and availing more facts to enable you investigate the matter, take obligatory action which shall culminate into the most appropriate panacea as by law envisaged.”
If found culpable to both professional and ethical conduct Sebunya is likely to land in very deep trouble with his bosses at Mulago Referral Hospital for breaching the Human Resources Regulations and his marriage with Rema might be annulled if Kenzo takes the matter to courts of law.
It should be noted that Sebunya snatched Rema, who has a child with Kenzo, and has since rented her a place in Munyonyo, where they live as man and wife.
A few months ago they secretly got married under the Islamic faith and are planning a Kwanjula ceremony in November this year.
