Hours after the controversial detention of Kyadondo East MP and 2021 President hopeful Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the Electoral Commission has come out to clarify on the issue surrounding his arrest.
Bobi Wine was arrested in the morning of Monday January 6th as he made his way to his Gayaza for his first consultative meeting ahead of 2021 general elections as he looks ahead to upset President Museveni in the country’s top position.
According to the electoral commission, Bobi Wine and other candidates intending to conduct consultations ahead of 2021 election were warned to always fulfill other obligations required of them by police.
The EC spokesperson Jothan Taremwa says that, much as they cleared Bobi Wine to conduct his consultations, he was slated to observe other obligation by security agencies.
