Enviri Za Nacho is a natural beauty shop with a newly opened salon for natural hair. We spoke to Madam A.Bella Nakato, the founder who shared about the unique products that they sell and the way the salon serves clients who are interested in healthy natural beauty.
A.Bella Nakato cut across as a hands on entrepreneur with full understanding of her products and service. As we conducted this interview she occasionally took time off to work on clients from helping them to make choice of what to buy to actually working on some client’s hair.
Monday Times: A.Bella Nakato, what exactly does Enviri Za Nacho do do?
A.Bella Nakato: It is a one stop centre for natural beauty products made in Africa, by Africans for everyone. We offer a lot of wholesome natural products for skin and hair. We have more than twenty plus African beauty brands in stock with underlying emphasis on us getting our own people and also using our own products.
The salon was created because we noticed that there was a gap in the market for authentic natural hair care without just the hype. It is about appreciating our brands as they are.
Monday Times: How different are you from others who sell similar products?
A.Bella Nakato: We do not stock any and everything. We really take time to find out the ingredients, the time and process behind them. We also honor our clients by ensuring that their health is not threatened in anyway in the search for beauty. So we specifically do not stock products with cancer causing ingredients.
We also do not do styles that damage the hair even if they are the most attractive. We do not sacrifice health for beauty. Healthy Natural Beauty All the way is our mantra.
Monday Times: What are your working hours and days?
A.Bella Nakato: We work from Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 8.00pm and on Sunday from 12.00pm-4.00pm.Both in the Salon and Shop. However the Salon is by appointment because many bookings come via phone and whatsapp and so we like to focus on the schedules that we have made. Natural hair is also not a fast food service. It needs patience it needs time, so when one books we give them priority and ensure we do the best for that person.
Monday Times: How are your prices like?
A.Bella Nakato: Our prices are affordable and depend on the particular product or hairstyle that you may want.
Monday Times: Do you deliver to clients who may be interested in you supplying to them or can you go and dress hair of clients who are far away if the prices are right?
A.Bella Nakato: We do deliver and we have been delivering for some period of time. We do this after agreeing on the transport cost of delivery.
Monday Times:Where do you get your products from?
A.Bella Nakato: From more than twenty different unique beauty brands and most of these approach us or we approach them. They deal in natural hair care and skin care products, accessories and tools. We evaluate each to ensure that our customers get the best available choice.
Monday Times: Where are you located?
A.Bella Nakato: Room No.F3 and F4 Ground Floor Kisakye Mall Ntinda. Kisakye Mall is the building with the Bata Show right next to Tusky’s Supermarket in Kampala.
