Muzafaru Ssebagala, has been appointed as the newly appointed Express FC Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ssebagala was recently with Masavu FC where he was the C.E.O. for just two months. Ssebagala was previously Buganda Region Football Association C.E.O.

He comes into express after Sulaiman Walugembe Jjuuko was suspended by the club. Express FC has had a rocky streak with its CEOs, with four others having occupied the position in the last two years. Before Ssebagala, there was Jjuuko who was preceded by Ram Hadji, Hamza Jjunju, and Ivan Kintu Bayige (in an acting position).

In the contest for the position, Ssebagala battled with Reuben Kibirango, a journalist with UBC TV.

“I am happy to serve football and in particular at Express FC, best club in Uganda with the biggest fan following” Ssebagala said after his appointment.

Express FC the oldest club in Uganda is at the 12th position of the Uganda Premier League table, something that Ssebagala shall be tasked with improving a few days into office.
