Gifted hands beauty salon is a modern beauty parlor that offers in house and delivery services for women in Kampala. On some occasions they go out of Kampala to serve their esteemed clients.

We had a conversation with Madam Gladys Mbabazi the proprietor who explained why the Salon has maintained its clients because of its wonderful service.

Monday Times: You have a good name for a salon, why did you choose the name gifted hands?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: We chose the name gifted hands because we are talented at what we do. All hair and beauty services come from the hands. We have been able to do our work very well with hour hands and we believe that it is a gift from God.

Monday Times: So what services do you actually have?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: We do all Salon services. We do hair for women mainly adults. We do hairstyles, we plait hair, we do braids, we do treatment, we do wet look, we do curls, we do weaves and we do perm.

We also do make up and facial scrubs for women.

We also pierce ears.

One of the things we do is bridal services. We do hair dressing from women who are preparing for all occasions. Be it birthday, baby shower, kukyala, introduction, wedding and others.

And when we do those functions we are open to going to where the bride is so that we can work on them properly. This is of course at a very small fee.

Monday Times: What makes you different from other Salons?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: We have very good customer care and handle each customer with respect and the attention that they deserve. We also make sure that whoever is working in the Salon knows what to do and can serve each customer best.

Monday Times: What are your working hours and days?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: Our working hours and days are Monday to Saturday from 8am until the last customer leaves.

Monday Times: Do you do delivery services (meaning if someone wanted you to come and do their hair at their home or work place can you do it)?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: Yes we can. We are very flexible as long as the money is right.

Monday Times: Many people have challenges with their hair. What would you advice someone who wants their hair to be of good quality?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: Hair like any other part of the body or like anything that grows needs to be maintained. A person who wants good hair should maintain it. They can buy and use hairfoods. They also need to care for their hair. They need to oil it to make sure that the scalp is never dry.

Monday Times: How are your prices like?

Madam Gladys Mbabazi: Our prices are affordable and negotiable. Everyone who comes to the Salon comes with a different need. So we first understand what they need to be able to cost it for them. That is why we are very flexible.
