Swedish based Ugandan musician, Hanson Baliruno has cleared the air on his song ‘Njaga’ which has come under attack from born again pastors.

Baliruno who recently returned from Sweden, to base in Uganda for musical purposes called a press conference on Wednesday to respond to the attacks.

The press conference attended by major media houses was held at Kololo Courts Hotel in Kampala. He spoke at length about his career and responded to criticism of the song.

“I think whoever is speaking against that song, has not listened to it critically. You need to listen to the words to get to know what it really means. When I say her love is like Njaga, I mean that it is addictive and it carries me away like the effects of marijuana on people,” Baliruno said.

Baliruno thanked the media for supporting his career and said that he was here to take Ugandan music to another level.

He also outlined his future projects, stating that he is interested in promoting Uganda’s tourism, while at the same time he has imported items in containers for children who are disadvantaged.

Hanson Baliruno said he was ready to do concerts and his manager is available on 0794995899.
