Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School Najjera is a modern and performing kindergarten and primary school, located in a spacious and conducive environment for studies.

It is located on the road opposite Shell Najjera sloping down into a serene area.

In our visit to the school, we met Teacher Alex the head teacher, who gave us insight into how the school has managed to serve parents and their children with excellence.

Our interview with Teacher Alex went as follows:

Monday Times: You have a very good and endowed environment here. What classes does Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School Najjera cover?

Teacher Alex: We cover from day care until primary seven. It means therefore that we do have baby class, middle class, top class and then primary one until primary seven. We wanted to give parents a one stop school where they could bring all their children for pre-secondary education.

At Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School Najjera, we have a day section and a boarding section, so parents could make a choice of what could be most suitable for them and the children.

Monday Times: Apart from your classes, what else does Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School Najjera have to offer?

Teacher Alex: Our vision is to provide a holistic education for sustainability in life. In our mission, we seek to tap children’s innate abilities thereby producing productive and God fearing citizens who are self reliant and versatile to the nation through a well balanced curriculum.

As such we also do have a wide range of extra curricula activities that range from sports, games, swimming, trips, religious activities, music, scouting and more. These will believe enable us to mould the children into better people by the time they leave our school for secondary education.

I should say that we have a record of performance. We do well not only throughout one’s stay at our school, but also at the end of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE).

Monday Times:  What makes Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School Najjera different from all the others that exist?

Teacher Alex: We attend to the child fully. We also have professional teachers who know what to do and know how to handle the child to mould them into better citizens. We have been around for some time, since 2009, so we are reliable and a parent can depend on us for their children’s education.

We intend to make Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School a home away from home for the children who attend the school.

We have more than five vans which pick and drop the children of the school from their homes if the parents want us to do so.

Monday Times: How are your fees like?

Teacher Alex: Our fees are affordable and cover different aspects of one’s stay with us.

Monday Times: If someone wanted to register their child for studies at Home Kindergarten Day and Boarding Primary School Najjera, yet they are far from you, are you able to send someone to register them from where they are?

Teacher Alex: We can do that, but we could say that would be a provisional registration because we would like them to come to the school to do the final registration. It is good for them to know the place and its facilities so that they know where they are taking their child.

Monday Times:  For the benefit of our readers, how do you handle a child who is not performing to your expectations as a student?

Teacher Alex: We do this in different ways. First of all, we have to diagnose the problem well by finding out why the child could be lagging behind. After this, we work out a program for improvement. We give the child extra attention that can transform their performance for the better.

Monday Times:  How would you describe where you are located?

Teacher Alex: We are located in Najjera, opposite Shell. We are about four hundred metres away from Shell through the inner road opposite Shell.

Monday Times: What phone numbers do you use for the school, so that if someone wants to register their children, they could contact you?

Teacher Alex: 0414662001/0772310767/0704310767

Monday Times: Do you have a Facebook page?

Monday Times: How about a website?
