Kalusha Bwalya
Zambian football legend Kalusha Bwalya has refused to disclose the fee that he is being paid to help the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to get a new coach. Bwalya was recently commissioned by FUFA to help find the replacement to former coach Micho. Using Kalusha Bwalya was expected to lend credibility to the process.
Our reporter contacted an aide of Kalusha Bwalya about the terms of his contract. The aide promised to get back in a few hours. He said “the deal between FUFA and Kalusha is confidential. If you want to know more about what he is being paid, call the federation in Uganda and they will tell you, if they find it necessary.”
Confidentiality clauses are common in the negotiations of deals related to football. Moreover the controversy that such deals tend to spark, leaves parties to the deals to follow strict confidentiality clauses in the interest of their transactions.
Kalusha Bwalya is one of the best footballers to ever play on the African continent.
Applications for the position and ongoing and are expected to lead until early next year. It is then that FUFA shall announce a new football coach for Uganda.
