Minister for Kampala Betty Amongi has today revealed that one of the arcades is seeing a rising number of cases, prompting government to mull over what can be done for congested places. Speaking at a briefing from the Ministry of Health, on COVID-19, she said that she was not going to disclose the name of the arcade.
“One of our arcades in Kampala has even tested for two cases today. We need to guard ourselves against this diseases. It is spreading so fast,” Amongi said.
Although she said that she was not going to mention the name of the arcade, Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng told her to mention the name.
Concern in government is that most Uganda’s have let down their guard thinking that Corona is a simple disease. Despite the rising number of deaths, that have reached the eleventh mark, Ugandans continue to move freely often disregarding the Standard Operation Procedures from the Ministry of Health.
