Kavumba Recreation Centre is a one stop entertainment centre that has a variety of spectacular things which attract people from near and far. The centre has both natural and cosmopolitan entertainment comprising of wildlife, bars and restaurants and many more.
In our visit to Kavumba, we were impressed by what we saw. We took some time to talk to the management of the centre, who shared with us about the pleasant entertainment enjoyed by their revelers.
Monday Times: Good afternoon Madam. For long Kavumba has entertained people from various parts of Uganda. For those who have not yet been to this place, please share with us the exciting things that you may have.
Management of Kavumba Recreation Centre: We have a bar and restaurant, accommodation, wild life conservation (zoo), public address system, swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and massage, a football pitch, kids corner that has donkey riding, horse riding, bicycle riding, bouncing castles, swings, merry go round, slides and many more.
We have a party venue (gardens) and people can also hold concerts at Kavumba. Wedding receptions and other events can be held at Kavumba Recreation Centre.
We have conference facilities, for those who would like to hold conferences. Our conference facilities host 300 people and are endowed with Public Address systems and many other amenities.
We do have a camping site where people can come and camp.
Monday Times: This is very good to know. On the other front, how different are you from other entertainment centres?
Management of Kavumba Recreation Centre: We are a one stop centre for everything. A whole family can come over and enjoy everything at the same time. On special days we have special events. Our place is safe and secure for people who are coming to have fun. We also have a very broad menu with many eats and drinks that someone could love.
Monday Times: What are your opening hours and days?
Management of Kavumba Recreation Centre: We open throughout the day, throughout the week and throughout the year.
Monday Times: Do you do outside catering?
Management of Kavumba Recreation Centre: Yes we do outside catering.
Monday Times: If we have a conference, are you able to cater for the requirements such as note pads, pens, if we pay?
Management of Kavumba Recreation Centre: Yes that can be arranged.
Monday Times: Give us a description to Kavumba Recreation Centre if someone is coming from Kampala.
Management of Kavumba Recreation Centre: First of all, you set out for Wakiso from Kampala through Nansana. You go to Naluvule then Kayunga then Wakiso. You branch as you are going to the district headquarters. You then follow the road that goes to the town council.
After the roundabout of the district, you see our sign post. You branch on your right hand side until you reach the place.
