The StarTimes Uganda Premier League Champions, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC have completed the signing of Nigerian striker John Odumegwu.

According to reports, Odemegwu has signed a three year deal at the Lugogo based side for whom he will feature until 2022.

The forward was part of Rivers United side that played against KCCA FC in the CAF Confederation Cup two years ago.

He comes as a direct replacement for Henry Patrick Kaddu who joined Moroccan side Renaissance Sportive De Berkane for greener pastures.

Beside Rivers United and Warri Wolves, he has previously played for Ifeanyi Uba, Delta Force, and Plateau United.

Odemegwu becomes the fourth signing for KCCA FC this offseason, joining John Revita, Erisa Ssekisambu and Simon Sserunkuma.

He is also the second Nigeria to play for the club after Victor Akinyemi.

Despite Odemegwu’s capture, KCCA FC are also believed to be chasing the signature of Bright Stars’ captain Nelson Ssenkatuka.

KCCA FC start their 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier league campaign on Saturday, September 31st, at home to Wakiso Giants FC.
