Within Village Mall Bugolobi, there is a one stop shop for kids carrying their clothes, accessories, toys and cakes. The shop is called Kids World.
It is one of four major branches of the same company, with one being at Acacia Mall, the other at Luwum Street and another one at Capital Shoppers.
We spoke to the proprietor, Mr.Kyambadde who gave us insight into the objectives of the shop and how it serves its clientele.
In our discussion, we found out that Kid’s World caters for a market segment of children from the time they are born until they reach the age of 12. Whatever a child needs during that phase in terms of clothes and play, they have it.
One of the strengths of the shop is its quality.
“We pride ourselves in quality but affordable prices,” Mr.Kyambadde said.
Indeed a look into the store shows everything inside is original and of a high quality.
We also noticed that the store is fully stocked with everything that a child would need.
One customer we spoke to but who declined to reveal her name said “for my case I love this place. Everything I need they have. So whenever I come here I go back satisfied.”
The shops are fully stocked but they are also well spaced so that there is easy navigation around the shop.
At Kid’s World the customer care is superb and everyone is sensitive to the needs of the customers and the kids who come to shops.
Kid’s World has a seven year history. It started in 2010 on Luwum Street before spreading out to the rest of the current branches. Having spent seven years in the business, the proprietors have grown to appreciate the changing needs of kids in this generation and have responded effectively to these changes.
The items found at Kid’s World are imported from the United Kingdom, Turkey and Dubai.
For customers who live far away from their branches, Kid’s World proprietor reveals that if there is a case that needs delivery, they are willing to discuss it with the particular client.
Considering that we visited towards the end of year, the shop through its Capital Shoppers Branch has a promotion where they are selling stock at a 50% discount. This is certainly an exciting moment for customers and potential customers.
