Kinky KOils Beauty Lounge is an exotic beauty spot located on Old Kira Road Kampala. Old Kira Road joins Bukoto with the lower end of Kamwokya. Today, we took a visit to their plush facilities and were awed by their trendy setting and excellent service. We spoke to the management who gave us insight in how they configure such fantastic services for their clients
Monday Times: What does Kinky KOils actually do?
Kinky KOils Management: We do beauty services that range from women hairstyling, to male hair cutting, hair services for kids, bridal services, pedicure, manicures, nails. We also import our own hair styles from the United Kingdom. So we are a Unisex beauty spot. We sell a wide range of beauty products. However we sell more of natural hair products.
Monday Times: How different are you from others who offer such similar services?
Kinky KOils Management: We offer a high quality of customer service. For example we give tea, we give free Wi-Fi and we attend to each client in the way that they deserve. We have newspapers and magazines that customers or those that accompany them can read as they are served. We also have television sets. On Friday and Saturday, we offer wine to clients who may be interested in taking some. Our products are unique and authentic. We import them from where they are manufactured. As such you cannot find duplicates, counterfeit or fake products with us.
In terms of aesthetics we are very good, we look good and are very spacious.
We have twenty four hours electricity supply backed up by a stand by generator. This means that during service, there are no cases of our clients being inconvenienced by power cuts.
Monday Times: What are your working hours and days?
Kinky KOils Management: We work from Monday to Sunday, from 8.30am to 8.30pm, but we are flexible. For example if a client calls and tells us to wait beyond, we can wait. Or if they want us to come earlier than our opening time, we still can.
Monday Times: Do you offer mobile services? For example if I am in Kololo and want you to send someone to work on my hair?
Kinky KOils Management: We can as long as we agree on the terms and conditions.
Monday Times: How are your prices like?
Kinky KOils Management: They are affordable, but vary according to the particular service needed. We usually talk to the client and get to understand their needs before we can arrive at their price.
Monday Times: Do you offer training for those who are interested?
Kinky KOils Management: Yes we do offer training. As long as they trainees are willing and ready to learn, and also if we come to an understanding of what they want to learn and how much it will cost.
Monday Times: How do you handle a client, who has poor hair, but wants to improve the quality of their hair?
Kinky KOils Management: We first identify the cause of the poor quality hair and then we figure out the right product to offer to them. Remember our products are all authentic and can serve them well.
Monday Times: What should clients have in mind before coming to you for your service?
Kinky KOils Management: People should come ready to be served with quality service.
Monday Times: How do you describe where you are located?
Kinky KOils Management: Old Kira Road, the slope from Bukoto-Ntinda Road to Bobi Wine’s studio in Kamwokya. It is a few metres from the traffic lights in Bukoto.
