General Court Martial chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti on Monday found Boda Boda 2010 Patron Abdallah Kitatta guilty on two counts of unlawful possession of fire arms.
The General Court Martial convicted Kitatta and two others but acquitted some of his co-accused on the same charges.
The acquitted persons include; Joel Kibirige, Matia Senfuka, Hassan Sebatta, John Sebandeke, Hussein Mugema, Fred Bwanika and Amon Twinomujuni
The prosecution has asked court to give maximum sentence to Kitatta and Ngoobi such that it can serve as a lesson to would-be-offenders.
The offences attract a non-mandatory sentence of death on conviction.
Gen Gutti adjourned the case to tomorrow (Tuesday 14th May) for sentence.
The prosecution alleged that on January 21, 2018, in Wakaliga, Rubaga division, Kitatta, Ngobi and Ibrahim Sekajja were found in unlawful possession of a submachine gun (SMG) rifle and a pistol, contrary to provisions of the Fire Arms Act.
