Today we visited them and talked to the owner, Mr.Mali Charles, who told us about their services.

Mr.Mali Charles

Our interview went as follows:

Monday Times: What exactly does Maliras Dreadlocks Centre do?

Mr.Mali Charles: We do all kinds of dreadlocks. We also do braids, other hairstyles and haircuts for men, women and kids. We do training for those who want to learn what we do.

Monday Times: How different are you from others who do this service?

Mr.Mali Charles: We focus more on the natural way and on natural products. We do not use any chemicals to do dreads. We let the hair grow naturally in a natural way.

Even when we do artificial dreads for those who love them, it looks like natural. And we have knowledge of how dreads are made. We do not gamble.

Another thing with us is that we do our own styling. It is created by us and others just copy what we do.

Monday Times: What are your working hours and days?

Mr.Mali Charles: We work from Monday to Saturday 8am to 9pm. On Sundays we work from 9am to 2pm.

It depends on the size and the length of the dreadlocks.

Mr.Mali Charles: We think that they should wash it with Shampoo at least once a week.

This helps to keep the dreadlocks clean and it also cleans dandruff.

They also need to keep it natural and use natural products. It helps to preserve dreadlocks for a long time. They should wash and apply coconut.
