Popular herbalist Sylvia Namutebi also known as Sofia Namutebi and as Mama Fiina outshone Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto, at the Don Zella Gal Power party.
Mama Fiina who was a surprise guest, and had done a few media appearance to promote the party got tongues wagging, as revelers wondered whether she was enlisted to make the party a success using spiritual powers.
Sheena Meena one of the guests who spoke to us during the event kept wondering how she became the star of the night.
“I was surprised to see her enter in style. At first I felt like walking away, but she is a lovely woman who spiced up the night,” Meena said.
Smartly dressed, Mama Fiina became a darling of the crowd and it could have been the first time she was being seen outdoor in an upper class event. She spent most of the night silent but flashing a wide smile at whoever cared to look at her.
Mama Fiina is known for supporting local artistes especially those who sing for the ordinary people.It is not known if she helped bankroll the event.
To many observers, the Gal Power party was a success contrary to initial expectations.
