Maroons FC scores first win at home

Maroon FC  has moved to the fifth position  in the Uganda Premier League with a home victory defeating over Proline 1-0 on Tuesday.

The two team met at Luzira Prisons Grounds following victories in their previous league games.

The two sides did well with the FUFA Big League champions edging fellow newcomers Masavu at Bugonga while Proline ran riot against visiting UPDF at Lugogo winning 4-2.

Asaph Mwebaze’s two side had also drawn with URA at the ground and lost 2-0 to Onduparaka early in the season

Maroons has never won a game at home but through Sydney Chika, for the first time the club has defeated Proline at home.

With nine points after seven games, a win moves them  into top four.

Savio Kabugo is suspended for Mujib Kasule’s side after he was sent off against UPDF on Saturday.

Proline FC has scored the highest number of league goals, 10.

The visitors were seventh in the league table with ten points and this  loss drops the team  to ninth when Bright Stars avoid defeat at Express.
