Police FC has missed a chance to top the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) after losing to Mbarara City 2-1 at Kakyeka Stadium on Saturday.
Mbarara City after the defeats from SC Villa and Proline, climbs to eighth position on the log.
Police remain fourth on 10.
Hilary Mukundane and Siraje Musindo scored for the home side while Basan Saafi pulled one back for the visitors.
This match was delayed by 25-minutes due to the heavy rains
The flooded pitch caused Madoi to fall and Musindo lifted the ball on Madoi’s arm for a free kick.
Ali Kimera denied Madoi a great save while Steven nearly scored into his own net with a miscued clearance that hit the goal post.
Musindo converted the winner from the spot after the Police player handled the ball in the penalty area for the home side to record their second victory in six matches.
