MP Allan Sewanyana of Makindye East was yesterday thrown out of parliament for coming dressed in red overalls.
Sewanyana who was in a combative mood, expected that the age-limit amendment bill was going to be tabled for second reading.
His overalls bore the words “tulibanyivu” (“we are annoyed”) at the back.
The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga called Sewanyana to order and demanded that he leaves until he is in the right dress code.
“Hon.Sewanyanya, by now you should be conversant with our rules and procedures. How you are dressed is not suitable for the proceedings of parliament to continue,” Kadaga said.
Sewanyanya left and returned in an appropriate suit, for which he was re-admitted into the house.
Allan Sewanyana was one of the MPs who was thrown out in the last fracas over the age-limit amendment.
