MP Gashumu Sizomu Wambende of Bungokho North constituency in Mbale district has warned residents against voting for any NRM Local Council 1 candidates.
Gashumu said this during the age-limit consultative meeting in his constituency and urged his voters to support opposition. ” Even when the constitution is amended or not, NRM will lack the grass root support which is supposed to keep them in power,” he said.
The legislater added that the reason why the NRM party is still existing and strong up to date is because LCIs and IIs are strong at the grass root.
“Lets stand strong and defend the constitution for change in our country,” Gashumu added.
Margret Wokuri Madanda the Mbale district Federation for Democratic change (FDC) chairperson urged residents against being bribed with small money by people who support the bill.
