Members of Parliament, Nathan Nandala Mafabi and Patrick Okabe have this morning clashed over land.

Budadiri East legislator and the FDC Secretary-General Mr. Nandala accuses his Serere County counterpart Okabe of land grabbing, a thing Okabe has refuted.

By press time, the two were being interrogated at Mbale Central Police Station.

Despite being in the police hands, the two have continued spitting fire prompting police to lock them up in different cells for their anger to cool.

The two met and clashed at Plot 5 Bumbobi road in Basamaga, a plot they have fought for many years according to residents.

Nandala’s clash with his fellow MPs is not new in the eyes and ears of Ugandans, in 2019, Mafabi and Hon. Samson Lokeris, the member of parliament for Dodoth East in Kaabong district engaged in verbal arguments forcing Mafabi to box Lokeris in a day broad light.

The fight which was stopped by the Resident District Commissioner of Kaabong Mr. Achia Rex started after Lokeris allegedly incited the people to get money from Nandala saying he (Nandala) had gone to Kaabong to distribute money.

In response, Nandala accused Lokeris and other Karamoja MPs for concentrating on eating food in the parliamentary canteen forgetting to address the issues affecting the people of Karamoja.
