The First Son Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned whoever intends to launch an attack on Uganda that they will be defeated.

The Lieutenant General and the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations, made the pledge on Sunday.

“Whoever dares to attack Uganda will learn that they are dealing with an empire…and we shall defeat them,” he vowed in a tweet.

Until 2017, Muhoozi commanded an elite unit of UPDF, Special Forces Command (SFC) which oversees the security of the First Family and other strategic areas in Uganda.

Muhoozi is currently the senior advisor to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on special operations.

The highly trained UPDF soldier then shared a video of the British army which he is proud to have trained with.

“All of us who trained with the British Army are proud of it,” he said.

He added: “One of the best militaries in the world. In Sandhurst, we called ourselves the Queen’s army.”

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, commonly known simply as Sandhurst, is one of several military academies of the United Kingdom and is the British Army’s initial officer training centre.

It is located in the town of Sandhurst, Berkshire, though its ceremonial entrance is in Camberley, southwest of London.

Upon his return to Uganda from Sandhurst in 2000, Kainerugaba was assigned to the Presidential Protection Unit as a second lieutenant.

In October last year, Muhoozi warned whoever plans to mess with Uganda that they will have a bad day.

“I can assure whoever even thinks of messing with Uganda will get a very bad day. Long live UPDF! Long live Ugandan Special Forces!,” Muhoozi tweeted.

The tweet was attached by photos of the UPDF officers in the bush showcasing what they can do best.

The message generated a lot of mixed reactions from the public.

This was not the first time the first son writes such a message.

The general last week on independence day, he made a similar warning.

“Ugandan strong! I never used to believe it but Almighty God has made me a believer. Nobody can defeat Uganda! This is God’s country. Whoever dares will be crushed to dust! Ruhanga asiimwe. Happy Independence Day! God bless Uganda!!!” he tweeted on October 9, 2019.

Muhoozi was the commander of the Special Forces Group, which contains the unit known as Presidential Guard Brigade responsible for providing security to the President of Uganda and to Uganda’s constitutional monarchs, from 2008 to 2017.

The Special Forces Group is also responsible for providing security at Uganda’s oil installations.

He is the son of President Yoweri Museveni, Commander in Chief of the UPDF and president of Uganda.

Muhoozi has served as Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations since 2017.
