Multichoice drops subscription rates by 40% percent

In a leaked internal memo, Multichoice Uganda will see some price changes that will affect most of their DStv and a few GOtv packages.

According the memo that has been verified by some sources within the company, with effect from 1st September 2019, pay TV Company DSTV Uganda will reduce all their monthly subscriptions up to a tune of 40% for some packages.

For GOtv customers on GOtv plus will pay 26000 from 28000 while other packages such as GOtv Max, GOtv Value, GOtv lite packages (monthly, quarterly and annually) have not been changed.

The Premium package on DSTV will move from Shs280,000 to Shs219,000, reducing by Shs60000, while the compact plus package will fall from Shs180,000 to Shs129,000.

The DSTV Compact package has been slashed from Shs115,000 to Shs79,000 while Family package has been reduced by Shs11,000, from 60,000.

Packages of DSTV access, GOtv max, GOtv value and the rest will see no change.
