Next Unisex Salon is an ultra modern beauty spot that serves a vast clientele from Ntinda, Kiwatule, Najjera, Kira, Namugongo and beyond. Located strategically on the Kiwatule Road on Eliana Hotel building, the Salon has all the facilities of a modern salon.
Monday Times visited the Salon and spoke to its management who told us the things that make them exceptionally loved by their customers.
Monday Times: What services does Next Unisex Salon offer?
Next Unisex Salon: We are first of all a Unisex Salon, meaning that we serve both men and women. We offer a wide range of services that include hair styling for men, women and children. We do Weaves, Braids, Dreadlocks, Crazy/Sponge, Make Up, Pedicure and Manicure, Body Scrub, and many more. We also do bridal services. We do head and shoulder massage after a haircut, so that someone who has been served by us can feel relaxed. We also do facial steam.
Monday Times: What are your working hours and days?
Next Unisex Salon: We work from 8am to 10.30pm from Monday to Monday. But if our client needs us beyond 10.30pm we work until they leave.
Monday Times: Do you do mobile services?
Next Unisex Salon: Yes we do mobile services for those who are interested in us going to where they are. As long as we agree on the modalities we can do it.
Monday Times: Do you offer training services?
Next Unisex Salon: Yes we do, if we agree on the fee.
Monday Times: How different is Next Unisex Salon from others who offer this kind of service?
Next Unisex Salon: We have very experienced staff who can handle every hairstyle and customer. We are also very clean and hygienic. For those who are looking for an easy place to access, we are very close to the road which makes it easy to get us.
Monday Times: How are your prices like?
Next Unisex Salon: They are affordable and pocket friendly. Anyone can afford our services.
Monday Times: What advice do you give people who are looking for creams to buy that can beautify them?
Next Unisex Salon: They should consult us before buying those creams, because we can tell them about their side effects, where applicable. Sometimes some creams do not work on certain types of skin, so we can advise them accordingly.
Monday Times: If I have a function and I want you to do everything for example getting other service providers, can you do it?
Next Unisex Salon: Yes we can. It however depends on how we have agreed.
Monday Times: What should someone who is coming to use your services know before they come?
Next Unisex Salon: They should think about what they would like us to do for them, but also they should be open minded, in case we give them ideas of what could be good for them. For ladies who are coming to do their hair, they should at least book in advance so that it is easy. We are extremely busy from Friday to Sunday, so if they booked in time, it could be helpful.
Monday Times: If you are directing someone to the Salon, what directions should they follow to reach to you?
Next Unisex Salon: If they are coming from Ntinda to Kiwatule we are on the right hand side of the road. When they reach a place called Orange Park (former Hakuna Matata) they can slope down a little bit and reach Eliana Building. That is where we are located.
